Security Markings
In order that measuring instruments can be used after repair until verification the responsible authority can authorize qualified persons. These persons seal the respective measuring instruments after adjustment by a protective mark in order to prevent unauthorized modifications of the measuring instruments until verification. Thus metrological characteristics can not be influenced any more.
Preconditions
Only persons can be authorized who
- possess the necessary reliability and
- appropriate training for the relevant measuring instruments as well as
- can prove at least three years of relevant professional training
Responsible authority
Bundesamt für Eich- und Vermessungswesen and each verification office
Procedure
The application has to be submitted in written form to the responsible authority and has to include the following information:
- First name and family name
- Address
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Name or company, resp, of the employer
- Occupation of the employer
Note:
The procedure and the requirements are according to the ordinance of the BEV for protective marks
Necessary documents
- Information from the juridical records (not older than one month)
- proof of at least three years of relevant professional training (certificates)
- proof of the kind and duration of the present occupation by a confirmation of the employer
- if applicable, proof of the kind and duration of former occupations relevant for the present occupation (by confirmation of the respective employer and proof of the training for this occupation)
- information about the intended categories of measuring instruments, if applicable, types and manufacturers
- proof of training by the manufacturer or his representative, respectively
