Future Prospects at the BEV on the Career Day 03.10.2024 - At the end of September 2024, the career and information fair “Career Day” took place at the Technologisches Gewerbemuseum (TGM) in Vienna and offered apprentices the opportunity to find out about various career paths at the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying.
This year, the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying - BEV was represented for the first time with its own stand at the “Career Day”, which was organized by the “Verband der Technologinnen und Technologen”. Around 3,000 pupils visited the fair and were able to find out about the wide range of career opportunities at the BEV. The BEV stand attracted a lot of attention with its innovative concept and presented the institution as an innovative and reliable employer.
The discussions about the various technical careers offered by BEV were particularly intresting. Visitors were able to find out about numerous IT jobs and learned about the opportunities to complete try-out-days or administrative internships during the vacations. These offers are particularly valuable for anyone who wants to gain an insight into the world of work and gain practical experience.
For apprentices and their parents, the “Career Day” was an excellent opportunity to find out about career prospects in the public sector and make important contacts. The fair showed once again that the path to an exciting career in the federal civil service is varied and rewarding.
