Critical Influence of Solar Activity on GNSS Measurements 12.01.2023 - During the past weeks we have noticed singular measurement deviations of the ETRS89 coordinates. A closer examination lead to the result that this was not due to system component anomalies of APOS.

It was possible to reproduce the measurement deviations of the ETRS89 coordinates repeatedly during the past days when we did evaluate our monitoring stations. It is obvious that the performance can be affected especially around noon.

Increasing Solar Activity
After the analysis of the time series it turned out that the measurement deviations of the ETRS89 coordinates were related to the increasing solar activity. For more information please see
