The BEV at GIS Day Styria 17.11.2023 - At this year's GIS Day Styria, not only the online cadastre and the A-Map mobile were presented, but the BEV career stand also provided information about job opportunities throughout Austria.

On 15.11.2023, on the occasion of the worldwide GIS Day at the University of Graz, the GIS Day took place as a cooperation of the Institut für Geographie of the Province of Styria, the Grazer Stadtvermessungsamtes, the Styrian Ziviltechnikerkammer and the Surveying Office Graz.
Schools from all over Styria took part in the event. The Surveying Office Graz presented two stations. The online services of the BEV were presented:

• The daily updated online cadastre (kataster.bev.gv.at)
• The online map service (maps.bev.gv.at) with the app "A-Map mobile"

The pupils were able to try out the services themselves on their phones or notebooks. For most of them, this was their first contact with the cadastre. The pupils are familiar with online maps from mountain biking, among other things.

At the BEV career stand, they were also given an insight into the wide range of job opportunities at BEV - from apprenticeships to academics.
