The municipality of Grein in the Mühlviertel region now also has its own control point for smartphones. The control point was opened on May 23rd at the Donaulände opposite the pier.

On April 25, we opened our doors to inspire girls for technical professions. In our laboratories at the Arltgasse in Vienna-Ottakring, young talents were able to experience technology up close and discover exciting career opportunities.
At the annual meeting of the European Geosciences Union on April 17, 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying (BEV) and the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) and the new secretariat of the IAG was announced at the BEV.
Now there is also a control point for smartphones in Mittersill. On the 11th of April 2024 the new Zentrumsplatz with a new fountain as well as a control point was opened.
There was great interest in apprenticeships and jobs at the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying at the BeSt3, the education fair in the Wiener Stadthalle. Many young people showed interest in the possibility of training at the BEV.
The BEV - Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying also celebrated its 100th anniversary with open house days at Vienna's Schiffamtsgasse and Arltgasse. The number of visitors was enormous and interest was high.
